Majuli: World's Largest River Island

Guinness World Records declare Majuli as the largest river island in the world.

Majuli is the river island formed in the Brahmaputra river, Assam, India. It is the first island district of the country and now it is declared as the world's biggest river island by Guinness World Records.

Total area covered by the island is 1250 square kilometers with approximate population of 1,53,362 people.
